Rather, it is a firm confidence founded on who God is and what He has promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201eFor we have been saved in hope. Now hope that is seen is not hope at all. For how can one hope for what one sees?\u201c \u2013 Romans 8:24<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When our hope is founded on Christ, it changes how we live today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because I know that God is faithful, I don&#039;t need to be ruled by fear. Because I know that He is at work, I don&#039;t need to understand everything. Because I know that my future is secure in Him, I can be faithful today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">Hope gives me the strength to continue, even if the answer hasn&#039;t come yet. Hope gives me patience when the process takes longer than expected. Hope gives me the joy that circumstances cannot completely take away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes we are so focused on the question: <strong>\u201e&quot;When will God change my situation?&quot;\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">God might want us to ask ourselves a different question: <strong>\u201e&quot;How does my hope in God change my current lifestyle or the way I live today?&quot;\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps your situation hasn&#039;t changed yet \u2013 but you can change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list ext-animate--on\">\n<li>You can pray instead of worrying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ext-animate--on\">You can trust instead of trying to control everything.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ext-animate--on\">You can worship instead of complaining.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ext-animate--on\">You can love instead of withdrawing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ext-animate--on\">You can take the next step instead of letting uncertainty paralyze you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, our hope does not lie in our circumstances improving. <strong>Our hope lies in a faithful God.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">And if your hope is anchored in Him, you can approach today differently \u2013 even if you don&#039;t yet know what tomorrow will bring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food for thought\u2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you living today as if your hope is truly anchored in God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">What would change today if you truly trusted that God already holds your future in His hands?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading ext-animate--on\">Would you like to join in a prayer?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ext-animate--on wp-block-paragraph\">When you&#039;re ready\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote ext-animate--on is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus I pray, help me to live today from the hope that I have in you. <\/strong>If I cannot see the way, remind me that you can see it. <strong>If I am afraid, teach me to trust You.<\/strong> When I am discouraged, remind me of Your promises. <strong>Let the hope I have in Jesus change the way I think, speak, decide, love, and live. <\/strong>I don&#039;t just want to hope for a better tomorrow.<strong> I want to remain faithful today because I know that You already hold my tomorrow in Your hand.
